Ron Foster Alter-Real landscape oil paintings

CV/Bio
Ron Foster is an accomplished artist whose work blends the style and detail of the old masters with vibrant color and fantasy. Interested in art since childhood, Ron began to paint in earnest while in high school. As a young adult, several of his paintings were chosen to be exhibited in Scandinavia, where the ultimate compliment was paid him: two of his paintings were stolen! Although his work schedule and training to make the Olympic Weightlifting Team infringed somewhat on his creative life, Ron continued to paint sporadically. But after a trip to New Zealand in the late '80s rekindled his artistic spirit, he developed his imaginative "alter-realist" style and turned to oil painting as his avenue of expression. Inspired by the likes of Leonardo da Vinci, Foster's landscapes, both realistic and fantasy, come to life with his eye for detail and rich, pure palette. In addition to his amazing and inspiring collection of landscapes, Ron creates sensitive character studies of children, and unusual portraits of space. His work hangs in the Cranbrook Institute of Science, art-domain gallery in Spain and numerous private collections. He is also a Rembrandt Sponsor of the Academy of Fine Art Foundation.
